Beef: 牛 (gyuu)、牛肉 (gyuuniku)、ビーフ (biifu)
Traditional Japanese cuisine does not include much beef, but many Western influenced foods could include beef. Soups, snacks and popular foods like curry may use beef extract (ビーフエキス).
Ground meats should first be checked, since the most common ground meat is a combination of pork and beef 合いびき肉 (aibiki), so check before you order or buy! Croquettes and dumplings could contain beef.
